It’s not amazing by any means and it’s not complete garbage but it’s definitely an improvement from The Idol. It was just okay.

Honestly the problem isn’t really his acting. It’s his writing. He a has a good on screen presence but when he’s using it to deliver these terrible lines and awful plots he co-creates, it comes off terrible. He needs to do a film project where he’s SOLELY acting and not writing or directing or scoring it as well. Either that or cinematography, he has a good eye for cinematic visuals, but never has a proper story he’s telling with them.

And this is now two film projects he’s done that are basically just glorified vanity projects. Give us an actual original story, show us how far your film talents reach that isn’t just “fucked up musician story”

i'm not expecting people to love this film or view as some sort of cinematic masterpiece, but some people are definitely acting in bad faith or are being disingenuous when talking about it online.
