Because he started the Dawn FM rollout while After Hours and feature songs were still getting heavy streams and airplay
IIRC Blinding Lights, Save Your Tears, and You Right were all very popular when TMB came out
The public just wasn't yearning for new Abel at the time

Dawn FM "flopped" (some artists dream that their album would "flop" like this) mainly because of the scuffed and more minimal rollout.

wkndsfan123If Wake Me Up isn't a scrapped song then it's over, this song doesn't have anything special, and we already have tmb, I feel like this song is shaped to be a hit but doesn't actually sound like one. Dawn FM wasn't a disaster because the critics liked it, but that doesn't change the fact that the album flopped.
people gonna say he makes the same song over and over again, and they wouldn't be wrong because this song could've on dawn fm.
