Sure it’s about the characters and their issues but for the most part they experience big time life changing moments during their stay at the white lotus so it’s not exactly just a week in the life/another vacation
It is though. Everything we are seeing happen is from character decisions.
The premise of the show is “rich people go to expensive resort”… there’s no overall “goal”
Tim’s story is based off decisions he made with his business and his actions catching up to him and now what decision he’s gonna make to handle it
The kids is wildly character driven and self explanatory
The 3 friends is purely character driven as well and an exploration of their friendship
This entire season we’ve been watching people make bad decisions (or in Tim’s case already made a bad decision) and seeing how they handle it.
Even the robbery isn’t some random bad guys that pull up, it’s just like S1 where it’s done by the staff. And even with that, the robbery isn’t what’s driving the story.
The only “plot driven” storyline has been Belinda magically running into Greg. That for sure is.
And it’s on brand. Look at S1 lol the main source of action was all because Shane didn’t like his room

to be fair goggins didn't do anything awful to make him fall off. I would have thought sam rock would have been able to pull a 1-evening mild grift on the asian lady without needing drinks. goggins just was offering absolutely no help in the grift lol even screwing up sam's lies
