my better ending:
Rick sees Jim come into the resort. Rick gets angry and attacks Jim. Sees the gun. Wrestles for it and then throws it out on the floor. Saxon's pops passes by mad he f***ed up the suicide/ or mad his son almost dies grabs the gun shoots all his family then himself

grade my writing skills

also the jump after the shooting to the boat was annoying. like there was so much more story to resolve. but still enjoyed it

You literally just resolved all the contrivances.

Have the pops blend up the seeds to a powdery substance. And instead of leaving it in the blender have him dump it inside the protein powder container. To stash for later.

Then later do your whole “pina colada” bullshit and add in a scoop of the “protein mix”.

Once you realize you have a change of heart, dump out the glasses and blender. Not it’s more believable you forgot there’s leftover seeds in the protein container.

Next morning Loch grabs a CLEAN blender and makes a protein shake not knowing there is leftover poison residue in there.

I always found White Lotus to be a bit overrated but they’re entertaining. Agree with many of the criticisms of that finale. Many times this show has characters make decisions to move forward the plot rather than aligns with the character. I won’t mention the unresolved plot lines because I feel like that’s a staple of the show atp not every character gets their plot wrapped up

But that Lochi set up was about as contrived as it could get in an episode.

Dad leaves the blender out when he’s aware he has a son that makes protein shakes every day —> Lochi decides to use a dirty blender because he wants to try the pina colada I guess although he didn’t need to add protein or water for that —> rest of the family wakes up and decides to let the father sleep in on their last day and leave Lochi behind just so it can be only them 2 for that near death scene.

Don’t get me wrong I really liked the near death scene and the scene with the dad holding his dying son but it needed to be set up better

Set the next season in Jurassic Park. That’s the only way to justify a company having so many deaths on campus.
