Second season is jarring on first watch but after that initial shock, it's actually pretty great
Virtually all of the competition he knew died...the opportunity there for him would’ve been limited

Yea I don’t think it’s bad at all
Finally, someone who loves 3 like I do
Season three is a very weird season, but that’s what I like about it. It’s naturally the most in media res season- dropping you straight into a situation where the murder rate is jumping + introducing without really introducing A LOT of unfamiliar characters. Everything w hampsterdam is sorta absurd, but it makes total sense too. And then there’s the atmosphere- with the previous seasons there was still some gravity w a death would occur; in season three, people are dying seemingly all the time and the plot (as w the world) doesn’t give those moments time to fully reverberate- it’s just on to the next day/event. It felt like the most helpless season to me in a lot of ways. And the central relationship between Avon and Stringer holds everything together, but it’s just as helpless/tragic. Most series falter in the middle, but this show closed out an era while setting up new stories AND experimented a bit w/o missing a beat

You mean the conversation between Bubbles and Bunny? Bc that made me tear up even tho it was brief

It definitely feels like the conclusion of one era and the introduction of another. They handled it very well. I never really noticed that aspect of the deaths in season 3, interesting observation

Bubbles just be giving away inspirational quotes for free yea that's the scene.
It's the brief moments/exchanges that make this series so dope haha like that one shot with Rawls in a gay bar came outta nowhere but I'll never forget it
The last season is easily the worst when they went into politics.
season 2
season 2
Ziggy ignorance was unprecedented and unpredictable
Love season 2
