  • I assume that this will help bridge the gap between TW3 and TW4 but I still expect this to be predominantly all Geralt as the MC and the questline to predominantly be about him.

I can’t imagine them giving a lot of stuff to Ciri given how limited her gameplay is in the original game and they’d want to save all the good s*** with her for the actual Witcher 4

I doubt it would be an entirely new region like Touissant and probably more likely to fall in line with what Hearts of Stone offered up in that it slightly expands the map somewhere

I could be completely off though, CDPR often exceed expectations - especially with this game

Holy s***, has any developer done an expansion for a game 12 years after release? Not talking skins/characters like Xenoverse 2, actual single player story content like this?

Interesting choice, Idk why they'd do this instead of making this it's own thing. Even if it's meant to be some sort of bridge to a Cirie sequel, framing it as "The Witcher 3" wasn't something they had to do

Not complaining tho I still need to wrap up Blood and Wine anyway

I’m going to interpret this development as a sign that we could one day get another Cyberpunk DLC

Yeah the Blood and Wine ending definitely felt like a proper sendoff imo

"Songs of the past". Maybe a prequel?

I'd say it's a safe bet, Geralt telling some old tale from his younger days maybe?

Or at the very least it'll be a quest heavily influenced by earlier events, possibly setting up the TW1 remake?

  • Bad news though is, unless it’s releasing pretty early in 2027, this probably means W4 isn’t until 2028.

I’m so down with adding more expansions/content to older classic games.

    It’s so sick.

Another year of restarting the game. getting 15-20 hours in and beating the red Barron quest line. Then quitting

Witcher 3 is the greatest game. There's nothing like it how he keeps getting content. Not just bullshit either, like great content.

Linking to TW1 remake - which Fools Theory are running - would be quite interesting.

  • Only bad thing is having to wait till next year but im very very happy to get new witcher content. Can you imagine if it's like blood and wine?

This means I have to do another full playthrough of the game plus HoS/B&W.

I mean, you can’t just do the new expansion by itself, you gotta do it all over again.
