On stream they said we’ll hear more about the expansion in late summer, but they did give some details.
• It’s comparable to Blood and Wine.
• Geralt gets a third sword that ties into the story.
• More Gwent is coming.
They also confirmed mod support is still coming and they apparently played a piece of new music.
in 2020 i got to the very end of the game and stopped for some reason
once i finish 007 i'm starting a fresh playthrough, dlc and all
GOAT developer
I didn't expect this to be this big of an expansion
started my new playthrough
i remember thinking combat was the weakest part of the game, but i decided to play on a higher difficulty and it's already providing a decent challenge

I’ve never played this and I’ve heard the combat and movement feels clunky, any truth to that?

Only as clunky as you allow it to be. If you run everywhere it will be clunky movement. Learn when to slow down and smell the celladine.
If you only dodge roll and sword attack the combat will be clunky. Learn to be a witcher and use a mix of oils, bombs, traps, signs.

i would describe it as "floaty", not clunky. geralt doesn't really have that much weight to him so he feels way more nimble than what you'd expect. combat is serviceable, it'd probably take a bit of adjustment to get used to it depending what type of games you usually play

I agree with the other user saying it's floaty. Think Batman Arkham combat where your character kinda glides to the enemy you're targeting even if they're far away but the weight is off, animations aren't as smooth so it doesn't feel as good. Enemies also don't really react to your strikes realistically, sometimes you're chipping away at their health while they just stand in the same spot
This is even if you use traps, oils etc. Sword combat is pretty much unavoidable and that's the main issue with the game's combat
I don’t think I’ll ever enjoy a game I did the same way this first dropped man
Historic legendary game
BG3 was up there but this game had me feeling some way
