And I’m saying that is irrelevant. There is nobody who has the potential of a Drake level artist in the game right now. Social media makes people popular quicker but they lose it just as quick. A real superstar with Drake potential isn’t in the game right now imo

That’s just a change in the rap style. Has nothing to do with social media. Lyrical rap just isn’t popular anymore. What drake had is crossover appeal into different markets. He was versatile and consistently making hits. My point is there are no niggas with Drake’s potential in the game right now. I asked you to name one and you can’t. If a drake level artist sprouted right now, they would be on top of the game quickly. Just like how quick X, Juice, or pop smoke blew up

even the last couple years we have had a couple of big artists but they arent drakedrake turned into drake despite ye, jay, wayne, kendrick etc. being around, meanwhile now it looks like another drake could only happen if drake leaves the game.

They don’t want anyone getting bigger than the brand anymore. They are purposely holding back certain talents just so that they don’t have as much leverage with contract negotiations. Same thing is happening in so many industries. Just over-capitalism at work.
