No other decade had a million rappers and artist either competing and taking attention from each other. Drake era it was just the same 15 rappers competing. Now you have over 100 rappers competing with tik tok and YouTubers making music. Rap now also is drill and trap heavy now, which leads to the top rappers dying or getting locked up. Also heavy d*** use in the new generation, a lot of young talented rappers are overdosing. It’s impossible now for rappers to get big enough to do drake numbers.

I get what you mean because no non street rappers under 25 actually want to rap without some type of future/Carti/thug/etc. influence to ever make a so far gone or section 80 foundationally strong project that lasts (put me on if I’m wrong)
