In 2010, A French TV crew went to see the Yawalapiti, an Amazonian tribe that is rather cut off from the world. They have limited contact with modern culture. The crew showed them various footage on a TV set and asked what they knew and had heard about. One of the things they saw was a clip from a Michael Jackson concert. The natives knew right away who that was.

His memorial service in 2009 was watched by 2 billion people.

Nobody ever achieved any of that. That’s how famous he was.

So no disrespect to Drake, The Weeknd, Beyoncé, Bruno Mars...but there will never be “another Michael Jackson”
