Seen this too much lately and I need to put an end to this KTT2 perpetuated myth. Y’all say things like “I’m not even going to listen when it drops” or “I’m not even hyped for this anymore”, but it really changes nothing. If the music is good, people WILL listen. Frank, Jay Electronica, Earl all took long hiatuses and thrives when they returned. Kendrick will too. If they can use the time off to make their music better, let them cook and enjoy the music!!!

we're inevitably gonna listen, but there is such a thing as gaining & losing momentum

I hate it when they say s*** like „good music takes time“.

BS 95% of the time. Like rihanna who supposedly worked on an album for 2 years only to cancel it you just know they did nothing.

you can see when the music is out how long they worked on it. Most of the people just take tactical pauses but the music gets produced in 2 months or so despite the fans waiting for years.

Only thing that really changes after a project like that finally drops, in my eyes, is how long it sticks around in my rotation. Odds are im spinning a surprise drop or whatever more than the project im aware i’ve been waiting for for a minute. It’s exactly like food service —when you’re waiting on food for a long ass time you’re gonna be less inclined to consciously enjoy it regardless of how good the food is

    This is bullshit
This generation is fed the promise of “art” that they never receive, we’ve just been desensitized because artists make bigger and bigger creative promises that they cant keep

Lowkey their own fault for putting so much stock into artists who don’t have the talent to make that level of art

  • Oct 11, 2020

If they keep delaying over and over like a certain rapper from Chicago, then yes it is taking too long.

This gen is whiny and entitled as if the artists owes you guys anything. It takes time to create art, when the artist isn’t seeing their vision theyre not gonna put it out until it’s their vision. Has nothing to do with what they “promise” you
