What will become of the idea guys however

I'm not advocating for it to give you the whole idea. I'm advocating for it as a tool to give you somewhere to build from. Or an association. Or an association of an association of an association. To give you your own idea.

Is that original? Is a ship the same if you replace all the original planks?

low income black households can’t drink water so you can bounce ideas off of AI

I would feel like a f***ing fraud if I needed ai as a creative jumping off point, that just seems so wholly dystopian

I asked Chat GPT to give me a long list of random, obscure word combinations. One of the combos it gave me was "alabaster scream". I made a poem out of it. Here it is:

    Alabaster Scream

    An alabaster scream
    comes white-hot and stolid

And we've been trying to sculpt it
    into a beautiful woman

Do you think it's fair to discount my poem based on the fact that AI was used to create the title?

Im a poet from israel and this is my poem

I mean that's all I try to use it for, or summarizing research articles if I need something more than an abstract

I can't believe how much some of my coworkers use it. They'll run ai for giving feedback/write ups to people and use it to write a lot of information about clients/patients for their therapy plans. Just feels weird and wrong to use it for all of that kind of stuff to me

Yea and the VAST majority of this tech will be useless until someone facerolls into AGI and humanity is enslaved

Any nation that massively implements AI will displace its workforce so hard the economic and social ramifications will be felt very quickly

Imo its a race to see who can destroy their own country faster

The helpful stuff it does is awesome, but I high key get pissed off when I see some stupid ass restarted AI slop video with 100k likes. It's literally starting to take over everything.

Like I know Snoop Dogg is not only an gramps to the highest degree, but that mfer definitely runs his own social media account cuz he LOVES posting AI videos of himself lmao.

The AI stuff can be funny when it's making fun of some pop culture reference, like when they did the AI video of Epstein escaping his cell with that bogus ass footage they released. Or when they meme'd the Luigi Mangione pictures when he was on the run.

The pointless engagement slop is what I truly hate. And AI music is just all around a travesty.

I don't care for defeatist "This will be norm." talking points, because for lots of thoughtful artists I don't think it will be, but I do think there is a time and place for AI to be a synthesiser of YOUR ideas and references, not bringing its own to the table, which it fails at miserably

Chatgpt specifically is useful for collating your thoughts and being a sounding board to help find clarity to your ideas, if I'm having conflicting thoughts about something I type them into chatgpt and it helps lay it out for me nicely, which takes out the bureaucratic work, but it doesn't make the decision and most of the time I disagree with the suggestions it tries to make, it's basically an agree bot that tries to find the path of least resistance to help the person using it (You) think that you are always right and come to the easiest conclusion

most people that make art naturally have largely boring commonly used ideas (someones gotta make up the numbers) and Chatgpt is no different, it provides base level insight and references and it doesn't put them together in any sort of sensually engaging magical way

So I use it sometimes and it's helpful for collating ideas but as a suppository of knowledge or creativity it sucks

Every s***post you make creates data data has energy it gets saved in a server I've done the calculation in 340 years the mass of all this data in the servers will equal the mass of the moon on earth and it will tear apart the planet.

What happens when a child comes up to you and says they also love poetry and have been studying poetry and your poem and the title just speaks to them

You won’t feel some type of way telling them you got it from AI? The struggle of coming up with the idea is what makes them beautiful

If you forgot what format a specific poem should be in and want to ask some AI algorithm idgaf but to get the entire idea from them is so lazy

I'll tell them that I used a tool to help me come up with the title and I won't feel any shame.

I chose the title. I found the meaning in it. It's not about me, or my ego, or my credit. It's about making the best art possible. Now it's a living thing, beyond me. Something beautiful exists in the world that didn't exist before. A child found that beautiful thing and got inspired. That's a win.
