It's already widely considered Drake's best album(that or NWTS) by most people besides contrarians.
Many people still say it isn't a classic album.

Well, those people are delusional or stuck in the 90's then.

All @op is saying is that many people still don't consider the album a classic. Yes, they'll say either Take Care or Nothing Was the Same are his "best albums" but they'll disagree on them being classics despite their impact, influence and enduring longevity.
Those same people have no problem rushing to declare GKMC a classic, though, despite Take Care being the older album and charting better and being even more impactful/influential on the genre as a whole.
Not that it really matters but it's just one of the many hypocritical takes people tend to have when it comes to the legacy of Drake's music.
It is weird people never wanted to give this album it's flowers
I remember most the album was on the top 50 all at once I think, really dominated for a long ass time
The reluctance to accept it is what bothers me
His best album. One of the best albums of all time. Just has that jenesaykwa to it.
X-factor.
Oh and btw, GKMC is undeniably a classic album. Not saying it isn't. Just drawing a comparison on how people treat Kendrick's music in comparison to Drake's.

To be fair, Kendrick's the most acclaimed rapper of all time.
Niggas was even debating if Kendrick's discog was better than Ye's on here not even that long ago.
I think comparing Drake's discog with someone like J Cole or Future makes more sense and many people will argue that Drake has more classic albums than those 2.

Stfu
charting higher than some of the top rappers biggest albums post 2020
this is why I love streaming, pure authentic demand by the consumers for the music they choose to listen too
A thread like this pops once a week. There was literally one last week titled “remember when people said drakes music wasn’t going to age well?” And it was this exact thread. I love the album, great album. But why do we have to this thread time after time?
