weekend probably a bit too insecure to have drake around him and is probably mad that no matter what he does he will always be the lil guy compared to Drake.Both are from Toronto, but Drake is the 6 and for the outsider looking in he owns that city be it about rappers telling that Drake gave them clearance to enter the city, toronto raptors affiliation and so on.
weekend likely hates drake but cant do anything about it, so staying away from him is the best thing he can do without pissing him off.

I'm not so sure cause he coulda made up with Meek & Cudi etc and kept it under wraps but he gave them major looks with Going Bad & putting Cudi on the album
Maybe they're not proper friends but he definitely goes out of his way to be good to everyone. Those Weeknd bars on War weren't needed at all, neither was him dropping into his live on After Hours. He coulda ignored him, Cudi, Kanye, Meek etc but he chose to be the bigger person
i think he deserves a lot of credit for it imo
Beef is cool for a moment but you don't wanna have to look over your shoulder because of issues you have with someone yet alone several people so I get squashing beef after a while.

while thats true,
one important factor is that there are a lot of people that will ride for artist that will hype up artists and make the bigger than they are as long as they beefin with drake - see pusha, meek, tory and so on.once he deads the beef those guys usually loose the support from the bums that will cheer on every one that is again drake.
you cant have Drakes dominant position for this long without ending some of these beefs

doubt its a single issue,
in every other situation weekend would be the king of his city, these artists have crazy egos regardless what they show of it...dont think he had issues with it early on when they were actually cool, but after he has gotten this big and they dont have work relationship no more it probably bugs him, would be the case for any artist with his level of success.
