over ears too?
Unfortunately yes man, honestly a movie with earplugs is better for your ears than headphones, with speakers the sound waves have all kinds of places to go, but with headphones your ears are getting a concentrated shotgun blast of everything, plus your ears get used to higher volumes during a headphone listening session, making you feel alright with turning them up
I guarantee if you go a week without headphones though you'll see a marked reduction in your baseline tinnitus

my autistic ass needs headphones to decompress or somehow distract myself from stuff. i already have the sound through speakers when I watch movies though
can't imagine watching p*** on speakers or watching p*** without sound

i quit coffee past 12 pm, i quit cigarettes and i quit all d**** (except alcohol which I very seldomly have). tbh the biggest factor was probably that my anxiety improved a bit
some nights i have issues falling asleep but i'm not staying up at nights like before

ive always loved blasting music past what I shouldve but making music really f***ed me and I only realized once it was too late. I remember trying to go to sleep and it hitting me that I'll never have true quiet again
but now I really do take my ear health serious bc as s***ty as this is imagining myself going partially deaf would destroy me especially since I can literally avoid it

Those naturalists gotta stop everything
potassium helps with my pulsatile tinnitus. for some it even cures it. I realized this when I would drink an electrolyte drink that had proper electrolytes in it
Always went to festivals and concerts and had a little but like two years ago i went to 3 small venue, loud shows in a row Friday, Sat, Sun and its been louder and constant since
Mine has started to diminish a bit
im seriously starting to think its linked to quitting benzos

Yeah and Ray Davies singing about purple hearts or whatever. I'm aware of that but still don't know what they actually are. Always avoided pills.

omitting things that arent relevant to tinnitus
they are extremely muscle and joint relaxant. if someone has a severe cramp or something, they'll inject you with some to alleviate it
i think I was just used of the relaxant effect, so when I quit pills i started to clench the s*** out of my jaw. the last 5 years i was on high ass dosages so quitting has probably caused me some TMJ and jaw problems which have a comorbidity with tinnitus

Crazy. Apparently I grind the s*** out of my teeth when I'm sleeping and cannot stand wearing a mouth guard at night so it is what it is. Definitely causes some dental issues.
I can't stand most Aronofsky but I'll give it to him for scaring this s*** out of me when I was young as far as pharmaceuticals go
fkn Requiem for a Dream
