I don't know about all that gen z s*** but that skit is horrible that's not how kids talk at all, like sure that's slang they use but the person who wrote this skit doesn't know how they're used
SNL been booty cheeks for a decade now
sometimes i think that segregation woulda done us better cuz what the f*** is this is this post
Segregation been the move
I get that black people are left out of and not credited for things they started, but this is also the case for any thing that starts as popular with only a certain demographic (race or otherwise) and then becomes popularized and mainstream and watered down and so on
It’s sort of a natural phenomenon at this point and while it’s not exactly fair, it also wouldn’t do anything to improve the material conditions of black people which should really be the focus of our discourse
generalizing the phenomenon reduces the actual issue at hand, which is that most/all of that which is b******ized w/o credit is black stuff
Segregation been the move
fam... what? I'm not gonna argue about this because I don't want to get into this but is this a joke? sarcasm doesnt translate over text
Rock and roll was stolen from black people too
Most things in pop culture were either started by or improved upon by black people
I’m not disagreeing w that I just think making this a huge outrage issue is silly in the grand scheme of things and especially if all black people don’t stand to materially benefit from it in some way
I'm a gen z'er and this was funny asf tbh. Also none of these slangs belong to African American culture anymore. They're used by people all of races now. Just like mainstream Hip-Hop isn't "black people music" and is listened to by all races
Man what is this

That’s the point man. It’s satire

Your ilk is why the sketch - as poorly executed as it was - was done in the first place

Exactly. It is unfair that they don't get their credit. There's no denying that.

Last time I checked satire was supposed to be funny

not in an ethnostate way but moreso in a making our communities thrive in an independent way, kinda like how there's a china town or something like that
crackers hear "segregation" and take it wayy outta proportion for no reason
I’m aware of LGBT influence on pop culture in general bro.On this topic tho, I’m just afraid I can’t give them credit as a group when it’s only their black population creating the sauce.
That's definitely fair lmao it's black people apart of the LGBTQ who deal with being erased and forgotten about in queer history. So they got some issues with the community as well.
Big reason why I would like for black people to learn to deal with the issue of homophobia within our community and to embrace our black LGBTQ brothers and sisters. All gotta come together and get our credit for giving America its sauce.

I get what you mean. By embracing your culture and promoting it in a positive way. Not disagreeing with that. I just read that post and was like "what the f***"?

That’s right. But honestly it’s a lot of niggas changing with the times. Think it will get better
It’s crazy we are having this kind of discussion over something so dumb
Usually something surface level escalates to a much deeper discussion when there's outrage
KTT2 users could easily write funnier sketches than SNL writers.
Take this Gen Z sketch for example, anyone on here could watch a 10 minuted video about the actual tiktok hospital show and make more complex jokes than "young people talk weird lol". Every time SNL makes a current sketch they come up with the most surface level joke and repeat it over and over again
