you couldn't say that about the internet generally or hell even stuff like facebook blew up cos they centralised a lot of disparate things and brought together a new way of communication and socialising which was then adopted en masse. i really don't see this hitting those same markers anywhere near as efficiently but i guess big companies are gonna push it anyway.
