Your kids are gonna beat their meat together while you'll be dying alone in the hospital, so at least you're right to be having fun while you can.
there's some weird niggas on here bruh...
S*** is crazy but people are overreacting
Never seen someone get cancelled like this and there are still celebs who have done way worse
« They control everything »
« No, we don't control all dirty anti-Semites. Oh and otherwise your career is over. »
I was 16 when Through The Wire dropped and been a Stan ever since, this s*** crazy fr
Wait you 35?
You’ll have to forgive me as this is a silly thread to make but I have been a Kanye stan since I was around 10
-11 years old (I’m 29 now… old as f*** I know) and to see one of my idols fall so hard like this is genuinely so hard to take. I’m sure I’m not being presumptuous when I say this but, like many of you I have done mental gymnastics over the years to defend his antics, however, it’s now getting to the point where I can’t even speak on the man because the hatred for what he’s done is so intense (some people didn’t need an excuse to be fair) and they’d be right to a degree as his actions have been out of order. As I said at the top: apologies but I needed to vent. I can’t see how he comes back from this, which is mental because people still bump people who’ve objectively done way worse (R Kelly etc) but it is what it is.
Your first mistake was idolizing another man
Yeah man this s*** crazy
This guy has made my favorite music of all time and I will never deny that but it feels like listening to his music at this point feels like aligning with his values and I definitely don’t subscribe to any of the s*** he’s been on the last 5 years. It sucks but I feel like I have to step away from his music for a while until I feel less conflicted about it.
I do feel like society will eventually forgive him and give him his flowers for historic creative achievements but it’s definitely gonna be some years before that happens. I feel like it would only happen if Kanye stops being Kanye and really reinvents himself. He’s gotta drop his toxic egocentrism, work on his mental health, and learn how to chill tf out and be a functional member of society. Either that or he may not get the flowers we all know he deserves until he passes sadly.
It sucks but I can’t really feel bad for him because regardless of what he may be “right” or “wrong” about the fact is you can’t keep expecting whole cultures of people to stand by and allow you to use your platform to disrespect and antagonize them.
I will say tho that it’s kinda f***ed up that his anti cemetic comments were the straw that broke the camels back when he’s been trashing his own people for years now and getting richer in the process. The powers that be did nothing when he disrespected our ancestors and called slavery a choice but as soon as he jokingly tweets about going defcon 4 on Jews and starts spitting Hebrew Israelite rhetoric (the same that plenty of other rappers including Kendrick subscribe to) he’s done for? S*** really highlights an imbalance of power and influence that is worth a conversation imo.
Its sad to see man. Donda was the glue that held Kanye together. Once she was gone I feel like he didn’t have anybody who was truly in his corner and wasn’t a yes man

I agree with this, but I do think she was a yes man to Kanye but in a different way as she knew how to handle him. The thing is, we don’t know if he would’ve been worse when he was younger if his mum wasn’t the person she was or if his behaviour over the last few years has unfortunately been because his mental illness has progressed. Bipolar or not his anti-semitism and anti-black rhetoric saying slavery was choice etc. is disgusting. His struggles with bipolar just make him bad at hiding his racism.
In response to others in this thread, I think if any other non-black famous person shared racist views to the same extent as Kanye has done but to black people, they would’ve also been cancelled. I don’t think it has anything to do with the fact that Kanye himself is black

she’s his mother she’s not a yesman to him in a different way she was just supportive of his dreams like what parents should do
You know, I thought older people in here was like a meta joke
I didn't think there's REALLY 30+ yr olds here
Men out here treating KTT like a diary
Bro go beat your meat or something, goofy ass 😂
LMAO
Incestuous kids

I’ve worked with a lot of children from a variety of backgrounds including several children with different mental health diagnoses. Parents can be yes men to their kids with varying degrees of success in terms of helping them live a normal happy life. I’m not criticising Donda here I was saying Kanye’s incessant belief that he can do what he wants when he wants seemed to be better controlled when his mum was around.

idk yes man isn’t the term for me cos that’s just some term for a celeb or an exec tbh. i’d say overly supportive or not authoritative enough to set discipline but not yesman
how many of these sob story threads we need?
they’re harmless just let niggas come to terms with their fallen god

I'm on the same boat as you OP...
It's not the end of the world per say, but s***'s a hard pill to swallow.
Just gotta move on in life.
