As the tweet says, this is modern day slavery, all in the name of enriching the few, and allowing them to shell out products to a global consumer base for exuberant prices. When you defend capitalism, this is what you are defending. When you pretend there is no alternative, this is what you are condemning people to a life of. I know it is so so tempting to ignore it, because this doesn't "effect you" but it does. There is no reforming this, there is no making this more humane. Because in order to that, you need to get rid of the system that allows for this to happen in the first place.

First graph is a manipulation of data, conditions of suffering and poverty are increasing outside of the core countries.

Second graph is laughable because it's the aforementioned core countries with a tiny handful of others tacked on. This thread is about capitalism's impact upon those at the periphery.
