Afrobeats, Latin trap, and K-Pop are the future buddy.

Hiphip going stale like Rock did at the turn of the century

i’m fine with that tbh, nobody should be mad different cultures of music make it to the mainstream dominance

as long as it’s not country

The crossover and lasting appeal is still going to take a while for K-pop and afrobeats. Latin music has the benefit of having a wide audience that crosses over many places.

Many African artists come across the ocean and get humbled big time cause the appeal just hasn’t fully crossed over yet

That's exactly what hip hop originated as... counter-culture expression.

Or are you just being sarcastic?

My point was, like yeah hip hop isn’t in the best place but I’ve also never seen culture as a whole in a worse state. I’m down to revitalize hip hop but if people are going to come together for something, we gotta put an end to the social media era, the age of the idiot

We are in desperate need of artists like N.W.A or even early Eminem, tbh.

I respect the NBA for getting the hottest afrobeat artist to perform at the all star game but Utah was like worst crowd for it

    Yeah that’s what I’m saying

I feel like if hip hop is really about to decline for good, then there’s a chance that the trends and styles of the last few years solidifies even more, and if people in 20 years think of hip hop it will just be the watered down form and there will be little remainder of the stuff that came before it. Or the decline makes people water down even more to try and save themselves and end up pushing it even worse

even if the social media era can somehow “end” the streaming era also takes a toll and labels have control over that

and the culture is gonna have to change before hip hop does this time around, this cycle and everybody tryna be a carbon copy with little substance is draining, nothing feels like it has abundance to it

Youngboy has truly changed my whole entire life. I was first a clueless, senseless individual, until YB. He took me under his wing and guided me through his delightful path. I have since then changed into a charming handsome man. I wish all other non-YB listeners will at last find this path as it will lead to the whole world being in harmony and peace at last. No single individual outshining others such as Kentrell has
been graced to us since the beginning of time.
When miracles like James Johnson Ill touch down to our planet, the clouds clear and the birds start chirping. I wouldnt be so surprised if YB is the reason we are able to breathe, eat, and hear everyday. When YB is played upon the ears of one, they come at peace, being able to outmaneuver and look down on others.
If one is not fond of YB, vou can take a observation out of the others, they are sad, unjoyful, and melancholy. They do not understand that would take a bullet for us, just as we would for him. It is truly enraging today that these who disrespect Youngboy are continuously allowed to withhold opinions
today. Youngboy i jus wanted to let you know ur my hero
At dark times when i feel i'm alone or i'm going thru things by myself I juss turn you on
Before my games i listen to you because you juss give me tht inspiration of energy
You are my king, You are who i look up to when i need a role model
Your my savior, You the one that makes me happy or feel i'm not alone in a lot of situations where i can't even find myself
You are my deliverer, You just put some source of energy and some source of inspiration in me that nobody else can
Kentrell when i first ever heard ur music i knew you was gon be great
I was juss blown on how a 16 year old can drop such great music.
Kentrell all 26 albums that you dropped are just peace to my ears and joy to my soul.
I did school projects on you, You stay in my airpods in school, Your juss great October 10, 2019 when you dropped that album Ai Youngboy 2 I juss knew you were the best rapper ever to be heard, played, and listen too.
Now that we made it this far i want to say thank you Kentrell Gaulden, I love you so much cuz.
You will forever be listened too
