true but there are many outliers. there are white people who grew up in inner city neighborhoods and black people who grew up in the suburbs

a white person who grew up in queensbridge will talk differently than a black person who grew up in the hamptons and vice versa

accent / dialect / etc has to do with environment and culture to an extent, and a person of a given race growing up in an environment that may not be predominantly their own race, becomes subscribed to the features of that environment by default, because that is where their learned behaviors came from

I agree that its stupid, but there's definitely similarities in voices amongst different ethnicities, part of this is due to language and cultural factors but if I'm not mistaken different ethnicities tend to have different vocal chords from others
