So your opinion = fact? You saying music isn't subjective is false. People reached a general consensus CLB > Donda but I bet that you would do anything in your power to say that is false?
Did you read?
People who study music for example can have debates and reach a consensus using facts in music
Some music is harder to make than others - that's a fact
Recognizing that and attributing value to it, that's where subjectivity starts I'll admit but that's what is valued for most art pieces (across all art forms) especially masterpieces where a mélange of creativity and craftsmanship makes a great art piece
Idk maybe I'm forcing my standard for amazing art (not just what you or I enjoy but a piece that's undeniably great)
Pointing out that some music seems easy to make (used formulas for example ) isn't an opinion
Reaching a consensus whilst making good arguments about music is possible
We can have that discussion and agree on the criteria we'll use then reach a consensus but I see all Ktt stans are interested in is talking sales
Ps: Idk Wtf donda gotta do with this lmao I haven't heard any good argument for any of those albums (donda or CLB) being better than the other tbh it seemed to just be people on social media picking sides
Are you aware that other rap albums have dropped this year?
Lmao is this really what drake fans are being reduced to? I knew it d be a drake fan before I even clicked on this lmfao

People who study music are making opinions. Like you said there is no subjective way to determine what is better. Unless you think these white people opinions matter more. Most black people who make music don't "study music" it's clear whose voice you do not want to be heard.
What do you suggest as a way to determine what albums are better?
I am willing to bet most people would agree CLB is album of the year. Do you think general consensus is what determines what album is better?

People who study music are just an example lol
Most people don't study music and still some construct better argument than others
Bringing up sales for music quality in a world of payola (radio + playlisting) will never be a good argument.
So what's left to do is talk music by starting to identify what our requirements for good music are in order to reach a consensus
