every single year he drops an album its in the top 5 sales of rap that year - for 3 of his post comeback years he has been the top rap album of that year, with a couple reaching into 700k territory in the 2010s
Sales have fallen as a whole but em’s worse quality has absolutely not translated into sales

The meaning and value you give certain facts/statistics requires some form of subjectivity tho. You're not really saying much outside of popularity with data. If you want to say something more using data then opinions coming into it.
I'm not overly concerned about trying to make other people LIKE certain things, that's boring. I'd rather have a conversation about the art itself even if we largely disagree

Kendrick is probably number 2 or 3 when it comes to sales in hip hop but nobody brings that up with him.
Does the most sales mean that’s it’s the best music in the f***ing world, or the best music out right now? No, obvi not.
A lot of y’all buy the new iPhone when it drops, there can be an argument that Samsung produces better functioning phones, but the iPhone has the IT (especially in the US). There’s obviously some redeeming qualities that keep you coming back.
A company that produces a good product will have people lining up for that release every time, no questions asked

Nearly all albums take the same amount of your money and time to listen to. Obviously McDonalds would not be popular if high-quality filet mignon was available on every street corner for $1.99
