    whats longevity to u?

Never really fell off and people are still hungry for more music from them. It's about how long you remain relevant, whether you're putting out music or not.

If Andre put out a new album, the hype would be insane, more so than a number of rappers on this list.

Longevity is defined by the continued cultural and commercial presence of one’s product over time

Outlast songs are immensely popular till this day, Andre continues to be heralded as the greatest by many people, and he’s still being asked to release a solo album after 20 years without a release

Yup, As far as I’m concerned kendrick should be on the list regardless. Eminem could be debated by some.

Eminem had an insane prime regardless of how he fell off, idk how anyone gets mad at him being top 10.

Agreed, and his influence is massive as hell. I think it’s just his recent output / stuff without Dre that makes people question him

Yeah Eminem would be absolutely nowhere near my personal top 10 but I'm not about to argue with someone who places him there.

Criteria that can be objectively measured isn’t a bias. If that was a bias no competition in history could have an objective winner because the criteria of that competition is inherently flawed by your definition.

No, when the criteria is clearly defined of course we can have objective winners, like in sports the person who scores the highest within the time frame wins. The problem with what you're saying is the criteria is not clearly defined at all, I asked you if the criteria to a unbiased top 10 is only based on sales and you said no because there's other things. But you haven't even clearly defined the other things so how are they objective?

I have a post on the last page clarifying that I do think he has longevity but I also still disagree that he has the most longevity out of this list

Cultural impact, iconic moments, trends started from them, influence, stop acting like you can’t think for yourself and are too stupid to ponder what factors could cause this list to happen. You acting like you have no idea what could possibly be objective criteria for arguments sake is sad. You would not be bleeding from your ass if drake wasn’t on this list. I pray you learn to not be biased in the future.

how do you quantify cultural impact to compare who has "more" of it?

like how would you go about objectively measuring Ice Cube's impact vs Andre 3000's for example?

Do you not understand how subjective all the s*** is you just said? How do we quantify cultural impact? How do we weigh cultural importance? Is an iconic moment worth X amount of album sales? You acting like any of the s*** you just said is 'objective' shows how little you've thought about any of this you dumbfuck.

Idek what ur last 2 sentences even mean

Sounds like you didn’t understand what multiple sentences meant. I will continue to take opinions from those who come into threads acknowledging the titles of them.

One of the most impactful rappers of the 2000's, but he peaked way too early.

Probably taking into account how they are still relevant today, artists they have influenced, events they have influenced, the size of them, etc. These aren’t just some unquantifiable things that one could never say someone else has more than the other. For example, I could say that clearly Ice cube has more cultural impact than your cousin that raps on SoundCloud. Or I could also say that 2pac has had a larger cultural impact than logic. To act like there’s absolutely no way it can be quantified is just another form of cognitive dissonance. And frankly I don’t want to be apart of a discussion where a wall doesn’t budge in face of the truth.

how do you objectively quantify "how they are still relevant today, artists they have influenced, events they have influenced"

yes I agree that you can say the objective part about Ice Cube vs someone's cousin and 2pac vs logic, but I think it's a lot harder when you're trying to compare the #10 rapper OAT vs the #11 rapper OAT to see who gets left out. in cases where both of their influence is undeniable its harder to compare

idk if quantify is even the right word since ofc no ones trying to calculate some score or anything
