Probably taking into account how they are still relevant today, artists they have influenced, events they have influenced, the size of them, etc. These aren’t just some unquantifiable things that one could never say someone else has more than the other. For example, I could say that clearly Ice cube has more cultural impact than your cousin that raps on SoundCloud. Or I could also say that 2pac has had a larger cultural impact than logic. To act like there’s absolutely no way it can be quantified is just another form of cognitive dissonance. yes I agree that you can say the objective part about Ice Cube vs someone's cousin and 2pac vs logic, but I think it's a lot harder when you're trying to compare the #10 rapper OAT vs the #11 rapper OAT to see who gets left out. in cases where both of their influence is undeniable its harder to compare
