Everything in our world is a projection of our thoughts, even other people. You gotta really be careful of the things you say and the self talk going on in your head.
That's why successful people and millionaires don't even make jokes at their expense. They know
There was a quote by Bruce Lee about this but I can't find it
oh great another 'just think positive thoughts' kind of bro

I mean, keep being depressed and living a s***ty life. This world needs people like you.

bro i have an absolutely wonderful life but I don't delude myself and others into thinking it's as simple as "just be happy to be happy" you bellend
I work at a homeless shelter helping the least fortunate people. To tell them "see the problem is that you're not manifesting your own happiness" would be akin to spitting in their faces. To tell anyone that is a huge oversimplification.
Love how you preach this positive self talk happiness s*** and then proceed to try and s*** all over the first person who calls you out on your bullshit.
There is so much more to living a successful happy life then mantras and positive self talk. To say anything other is pure ignorance.
enlightened being my ass ur acting a clown in your own thread

accountability is everything. horrible things happen to good people
it takes a strong mindset to get through things.
this applies to everyone.. where you are at in life is 100% due to you and your choices/mindset

lmao
nigga i was depressed 5 years
had a mental breakdown last march.
would cry multiple times a week on my way to work
suffered from horrible anxiety,
had no credibility when talking about my goals
looking for therapy, etc.
what did i do? Changed my habits, my mindset, amped up my discipline,
picked up some books/educated myself
and applied what I learned.
the world i lived in last year is not the same one I live in now, almost 1 year from my breakdown
you're preaching excuses

Literally every religious scripture, every philosopher, every successful person ever agrees that thoughts do in fact become reality. And it's still some 20 something year olds that think they have life figured out who chose to not believe it. Sad

exactly , the seeds you plant in your mind grow . good or bad
Okay but imagine that you show up to work one day and you're fired. Lets say in this scenario you don't have any family or friends to reach out to. You have $800 worth of bills due in an a week but you been living paycheck to paycheck due to past medical bills. Before you know it now you're homeless, no friends or family, no job, no house, sold ur car in your attempt to get back on your feet. Now you're part of the most marginalized and discriminated population in america.
Do you just yeet yourself up from your bootstraps? I f***ing doubt it?
You're complete misconstruing what I'm saying.
Planting mental seeds and positive self talk and positive habits are great but sometimes you are stuck at a job making less than a living wage and then s*** hits the fan.
I'm saying society is broken and the idea that we have to be incredibly hard working people chasing the next promotion or side hustle just to f***ing get by is a joke.
A minimum wage job should be a living wage job. Medical debt shouldn't exist. Everyone should be able to access mental healthcare and physical therapy.
But go ahead and go off on me about how you suffered and made it so everyone else should suffer on their path too I guess.
Expand your circle of compassion son.
I really just want Op and that other guy to know.
Pointes had a point that did not derail youre thread at all. And unless y'all just wanted a positive lil timepiece to pat yourselves on the back. This shouldn't have been posted on a forum.

i think your big disconnect which you are failing to grasp is that some people can not “control their thoughts” in the manner which you are suggesting

well in this scenario, besides selling the car, explain how he spent the time?
i have compassion bruh, i'm just saying, when s*** hits the fan the number one thing you don't do is accept it.
I had no idea what i was going to do, i took it day by day, panicing, scrambling . that's what happens. things might not turn around for a long time, but sitting around wishing bad s*** didn't happen, won't change it

I think we just fundamentally disagree with the idea that you are 100% in control of your life. A healthy person can control how they react. But we live in a sick society so to be well adjusted of that is no measure of a healthy person. I'm glad you succeeded but many people would have failed in that scenario.
