I've always considered myself an agnostic because I've never really been sure nor do i think man can truly know 100% which version of God is the right one to follow but I've been looking at the wrong way, it's organized religion i dont believe in not the concept of God. Very basic thing I realized I'm aware but ive literally pushed thinking about God away in my head because I have such disdain for Christianity from my upbringing.

What are y'alls thoughts on this endless subject?

So how do you define God outside of organised religion?

    What's your definition of God?

Some higher power exists, but why would I believe some earthly mf has the answers as to what exactly that higher power is

Organized religions are just another way to keep us divided and fighting with each other like race/gender/politics

The morals that religion teaches are important though, and are extremely lacking in society today

More power to those people who find comfort and peace in religion, but that s*** doesn’t work for me and I grew up catholic

I don't think man could truly know what the definition of God is, I'm not even sure i believe in it yet I'm just saying I'm more open to the idea of a higher power

  • Apr 5, 2020

ion know, I believe there’s a god or just someone like that above us. But all these religions seem like some cap to me

  • Apr 5, 2020

    All religion is garbage

  • Apr 5, 2020

I think God is real, but some people corrupt the message of God with lies and deceit. Power hungry people will always take advantage of religion to push their evil beliefs and promote their ulterior motives.

Im fine with this idea and I'm playing devil's advocate

What's the point of believing in a higher power if you can't relate to it, if it can't relate to you? Can you pray to a 'higher force' if you don't even know it's name?

Idk why some people think they are soooo superior and hyper intelligent for being atheists. I know a guy who thinks religious people are stupid for wanting to believe in God.

Ask yourself this, isnt the idea of a benevolent, all knowing being watching over you and promising you eternal happiness in exchange for belief and prayer not a nice idea? If your Christian you also get told that Jesus died for your sins. Its a no brainer that people love God. And if you are an atheist thats cool, but dont be an annoying f*** who thinks he's above anyone else because they believe in the flying spaghetti monster. Everyone is looking for comfort and seeking answers, we all have different ways of finding these things.

It can just be known as "God" you don't necessarily have to know everything about it to believe in it. What's got me thinking about this is just the fact people have these wells of creativity and I believe a lot of ideas must come from a source greater than the human mind.

Not if it works for them. As long as they’re not hurting anybody is forcing their views so be it
