Outside of this thread, the vast majority of people born between 1996-2006 will forever remember Travis as the guy who let those kids die in front of him at his festival as he continued to perform, and then proceeded to never publicly apologise for it, instead resorting to PR tactics to brush it aside as quickly as possible in order to revive his brand.
I wasnāt seeking validation. There is genuine moral and ethical debate here. We are barely 6 months from the tragedy and heās already started to rollout his new album. Itās insanely callous and insensitive.
Stop defending millionaires online just because you want to consume their next product, theyād step over you if you were dying on the street
He literally cannot apologize for it are you 5 years old or just super ignorant?
Also Iām defending the millionaire because your stance is dumb not because I want the product. But I do very much want the product

No offence brother Iām an Uzi fan myself but after it came out that Uzi indeed abused his ex (actual intended harm inflicted) you went straight back to hyping him and his new music up as youāre allowed to since this is just about music not the human you canāt be talking about moral debates f*** those tiktok kids everyone with a brain knows whoās really responsible he can start his rollout whenever he wants

Hilarious that you are insinuating Iām ignorant
āHe literally cannot apologiseā
Yes he can. He can say sorry. He can speak. He can say sorry and still not then be held legally accountable for what happened.
He isnāt guilty of anything, and deserves no direct legal repercussions.
But he can still handle the situation with sensitivity, and mature and respect. Rather than rushing to keep his brand afloat by dropping a new album.

Saying sorry IS claiming legal accountability lmao. Heās not guilty. Hence why he never said sorry. He also reached out to the families in more than one way and gave them space if they needed it. He has a dedicated line they can reach out to for help and he launched an entire psychiatric campaign. Heās also active in helping better the festival scene so things like this donāt happen again even tho like we all agree on, it wasnāt his fault.
Youāre clearly super misinformed or just a pure hater but he owes you not a lick of a thing and I donāt see why he should have to end his career or take a multi year hiatus when heās done everything in his power already to rectify the situation even tho it wasnāt his fault. Donāt buy the album. Donāt stream the album. The kids not coming back to life and he seems more than willing to help the families financially and through therapy if needed

The narrative is literally not that anymore
Like nobody whoās paid any attention to what happened is putting it on Travis and that discourse only spread more and more as time went on

Youāre absolutely right,
These guys are s***ty people, most people are. Being part of stan-culture you end up doing a lot of mental gymnastics to justify what they do despite how shady it is.
My initial post itt was pretty even-handed though. Iām also very excited about the music. For me, it all just feels too soon. I think I was poking at pretty valid moral questions that exist surrounding him starting his rollout.
Anyway, I wonāt start it up again and derail the thread. As you can remember I was a regular in the old Utopia thread me you n spoke a lot
Haven't his streaming numbers stayed consistent through this whole thing? If so he's finna drop STAT

Yep

They spiked like they would after the level of press he got that week
Court case is still being handled and have gone to a judge already. Guess Travis thinks the court case is too long to wait for the album to drop.
But it still feels like he's would have dropped in Feb if the festival s*** didn't happen.
So is this delay just by a few months?

āAs for Scott, what happens from here is a big question. It's believed his new record is done; it was hitherto expected to drop next year ahead of his scheduled Coachella appearance.ā
Seems like an April release was in the works since last year, just ahead of Coachella. So if it does actually come out in the next few weeks, it seems like they are sticking with the plan

Yeah so basically, just don't show face until the album and you'll be good Trav
Which isn't a bad thing to do. He didn't keep moving on like nothing happened.
Lowkey convinced most of KTT will love the album now that he's the "underdog" again lol
