Pretty solid nuance there by Fantano. Loved the little dig at Drake for continuing to speak on a beef that he backed out of.

My critiques are the following:

1) He chooses to ignore/not speak on 2nd half of MY EYES (in my opinion the most personal and vulnerable art on the project)
2) The repetitive festival-festy-fest-val thing went over his head (for explanation you can go to my twitter @​AK83956)
3) His opinion on PARASAIL (being fake profound) is valid i guess, except that those mantras are literally the same that do the heavy lifting in most forms of therapy
4) The shot at Travis for rapping he's got Ye over Biden after the SICKO MODE line and continuing to work with Kid Cudi is definitely not valid, he has not idea what's going in their relationship. Life is not that black and white, neither should the interpretation of art.
5) His dislike of TIL FURTHER NOTICE reflects a lazy attempt to interpret the art in front of us. I'll give an example of a half assed take - he took inspiration from Never See Me Again and Runaway by Kanye. He's rapping about how "he can't keep a b****," meaning Kylie. 21 is portraying a character, someone who would never settle down, much akin to Pusha T in Runaway. He is doing this to show that that's not even what he did, he did what he believes was the right thing- have Stormi, chose to settle down in a sense. Despite that, she left. We don't know why she left, but she did and this is what the song is about in my opinion.
6) His overall takeaway is that there is no takeway -> disrespectful and again lazy a***ysis

I know it may seem like I'm having an impossibly high standard and I recognize that I am. But these guys have huge platforms and can really affect sales, awards, etc. I just wish they tried a bit harder.

nah his first verse on meltdown was better than drake’s

i think k-pop and telekinesis were the only songs where he was really being outdone, and he didn’t even have a verse on the latter
