Overall I'd agree too even now you see non trap artist using they sound and sampling them.
Hell more New York rappers nowadays claim Three 6 as an influence then Wu Tang.

In trap 36 and Bone Thugs have a lot of their s*** copied. N u right about even their image being copied. But p much every rapper past 93 is influenced in some way by Wu. Not even comparable. Ur comparing the Beatles to Nirvana
