LacedIs it a valid comparison tho? Nas made something fresh at the time. It wasn't "real hip hop" because that's what hip hop was at the time. So Cole trying to call back to a time of the past automatically invalidates the comparison.

Cool it was fresh in 94 but his sound hasn’t changed much since then
Same way The Warm Up and FNL was fresh during the blog era but Cole sound hasn’t changed drastically
