and their new UI heavily tries to funnel you into listening to podcasts imo
definitely so. still gonna keep using spotify but i definitely don't like having to skip the podcast ads while i'm driving
I’ve used almost all the major dsps for at least 6 months at one time or another. Currently using AM. For me, someone who primarily listens to Hip Hop/Rap, RnB, and afrobeats Tidal to me is the better choice. Tidal has a lot of artist loosies and mixtapes that you can stream.
Where Tidal falls short though (this might’ve changed in the last year) is more eclectic music taste. Like anime OPs, or various k-rnb & rap artist weren’t available.
I’ve tried them all, and I keep coming back to Spotify. They’re supposed to get lossless audio soon too. As far as ads in podcasts go, I have a separate app for podcasts entirely, so it isn’t an issue for me.
ya but if ur relying on an AI for ur music? just get good taste ngl...
That’s why I use Apple :)
still cant figure out why AM doesnt have credits. weird since they market themselves as friendlier to artists than spotify

fax, their metadata section needs a big update
tidal is the goto for credits cause they actually break down who the writer/engineer/producer is on each track where as on AM they're just all bunched together under one title

tidal is amazing for credits - i love how you can click on the artist in the credit, and it will take you to their discography. incredibly convenient if you hear a beat you like and want to go down the rabbit hole of who produced it
