Does that ever work out tho? It feels like the songs which go viral tend to have organic origins, but then again who knows, if they aren’t then they are definitely made to feel like there weren’t made solely to go viral. But I just don’t know how sophisticated labels have become.

I think you’re missing the fact that when things become trendy, sure there are a lot of people who will just listen for the trend. But there are some kids who will hear the s*** BECAUSE it’s trendy but it will change their f***ing life and become deeper than a trend to them

As a kid my TikTok was iTunes. I would listen to whatever hit the top 10 songs mostly hip hop. When I heard T.I. What You Know, or even Chamillionaire Ridin, Teddy Pain Buy U A Drank, that s*** connected with me so deep and changed my life. I wouldn’t have heard the songs if it wasn’t trendy. There was probably a lot of people who were just considering that the new trend but that made it reach me and I cherished it.

That’s not how culture works. Things get popular and they appeal to people. Participating in a trend is harmless

I think in this case it’s better to appreciate the good that comes rather than dwell on the “bad”, which is really just people enjoying something in a slightly less “deep” way which isn’t the end of the world

He didn’t say anything transphobic lol. What happened was there were users who said transphobic stuff in a thread. They got banned and when DavidP came back from his ban he heard they got banned and made a thread asking for them to be freed. He did this not knowing what they said to get banned.
