Something I just thought about was that firefighter being nicknamed conscience. He was seemingly the only one wary of Alexia beyond the general strangeness of her demeanor. He works up the courage to broach his hesitations about her and the captain shuts him down immediately. The captain then for all intents and purposes kills his conscience via a fire accepting Adrien/Alexia whole heartedly
