generational album, really a defining moment for him as an artist
It took me a long time, and although I still have other Kendrick projects above it personally, I’ve become a huge fan of this album. My personal feelings aside an absolute classic and iconic album
Fantastic album and miles better than GKMC
time has proven to me that wesleys theory is the best song on the album
might be kendricks top 2 and not 2
Momma is top 1 but the beauty of this album is that neither of us are incorrect
I was in such a different place in life when this dropped
One of my favorites ever for sure
where were you
KTT hated this when it dropped and now it’s AOTD contender. KTT hated DAMN. and now there’s a lot of praise for it. KTT hates Mr. Morale. Y’all always a few years behind
They’ll never see it on time
I have an special moment of my life attached to the release of this album. Such a masterpiece
amazing album
rap’s songs in the key of life/sign of the times imo, the way it still has mainstream appeal despite never sacrificing it’s messaging or commentary
yep
Was it really that bad? I don't recall, maybe the posts/threads that sung its praise at the time stood out to me more
lmao KTT1 when TPAB leaked was a bloodbath. remember a lot of bans going around that whole week
Mr. Morale has too much radio pandering filler bullshit to ever be a classic. Cut it down to the actually substantial songs like United in Grief, We Cry Together, Mother I Sober and it's up there
For what it’s worth, Rich Spirit was always gonna be on the album since the verse leaked in 2020
I'll always praise the balls he had to drop tpab as his sophomore album, especially after gkmc. It didnt jeopardize his career, and he reached stadium status with damn soon after anyway so it was a huge W overall
