had a very healthy and positive home life growing up. hope to continue that with my own family once I start it.
Beautiful brother
Absolutely tons.
Isolating myself for self-protection, reticent to be emotionally close, propping up facades to get by, facing anger with anger as opposed to understanding and patience. Other things too no doubt.
But have worked and am working on these things. Am a good human.
I can relate to this too well. The healing process has been long and it’s taken a lot of work but I’m getting there and am in such a better place compared to a few years ago. Wishing you all the best on this path🙏🏽
no h***
parents from 2 european countries
comfortable not rich
both academic nerdy types
i'd say it benefitted me a lot and exposed me to diverse ideas and ways of thinking, my dad is an engineer and mom has a 4 year philosophy degree. bilingualism also a superpower
my mom has a serious anger problem though and i believe there was some emotional neglect. i got beat pretty bad.
overall despite some of the things my parents could have done better i wouldnt change it for anything and there is no one else i would rather be than me

You too man, glad to hear you're doing better with it all too.
Definitely a long road, and not a linear one.
How do you remember your overall experience in elementary through high school
genuinely no complaints. 2 parent household. no traumatic experiences. great friends and support systems many of which i still keep in touch with to this day.
i've been very fortunate to have had the circumstances I've had in life.
