Albums a 9/10 I will defend it until I die (it could be any moment I am 78 years old)
Thanks for the input Joe!
March 14 still makes me feel shivers. Such a thoughtful track, the feels on every Drake outro are incomparable.
no one to guide meeeeeeee
Below average project that is for some reason 25 tracks? 1hr 30m long my goodness. Beyond the ridiculous bloat that this was, it does have some some nice tracks sprinkled throughout.
Top 3:
I remember listening to this front to back and thinking this will go down as his magnum opus. It's getting better with age but I actually think either Nothing Was The Same or Views will be considered his best by the general public. It's my favorite double album since Speakerboxx/The Love Below.
Top 5 tracks
1 March 14
2 Sandra's Rose
3 Emotionless
4 Jaded
5 Don't Matter To Me
i can see why drake keeps pushing back clb. he is chasing god's plan height as a single and that simply will never happen again
but then again that's what i thought with hotline bling
Butter is the biggest song of the year and it's no where near God's Plan. Life Is Good was huge last year but didn't come close either. It's just not the right mood with Covid still around. People did say he'd never top Best I Ever Had, then Hotline Bling, One Dance after that. He'll have another anthem next album
What are your favorite songs/moments off the album?
Nice For What
Survival
Jaded
Elevate
Can't take a joke
HM: Emotionless, 8 out of 10, Finesse, Is there more
Great Album overall. Side A is very strong. The weak points are the production, tracklisting and cohesiveness. For those reasons I have NWTS, Views and Dark Lane over it. But it's still top 4.
Legendary year for hip-hop/music and it cemented Drake as the WIlt of the streaming era
Remember this dropping when I was living in Stratford, London.
Weather was blazing and everyone was vibing to this.
What a time

What are your favorite songs/moments off the album?
Fav songs: Nice For What, After Dark, Mob Ties
Fav moments: Party's 'brrrrr' on RHB and that sample at the end of Summer Games
Crazy that yall love this
This s*** still the most painful full listen of a album ive ever had, havent been the same since
But there are some amazing songs on this that are in rotation till this day

Some incredible memories from this album that defined my 2018. Graduated university a few weeks before it dropped and had started my own business.
I feel the reason this albums so overhated is how many different sounds he covers from front to back, which is why it's easy for everyone to pull out a handful of songs they don't love.
However, you can't deny how much this album dominated that year. Gods plan. Nice for what. In my feelings. Nonstop. Don't matter to me. I'm upset. Mob ties. Plus everyone has their favourite deep cuts.
Final thoughts, not his best, but I feel for all the Drake fans that always wanted a double album, 1 side rap and 1 side r&b, this is pretty much that and it does perfectly.
Reminds me of some really good times in my life. Overhated album although I admit it’s definitely not his best. Trusting CLB will be an improvement

Lol isn't it hilarious that your top 3 are the 3 that most people say they would remove in order to get rid of bloat.
Drake really has so much pressure on his shoulders for CLB

an argument can definitely be made about good 4 u almost being as big as God's Plan to be fair
Album is still good to me and I will never understand how hard people will go to hate on it
8 out of 10 is one of Drake’s most underrated songs. Wordplay was absolutely phenomenal
