I mean, he’s right. It’s an absurd idea.
Changing the text of works crafted by writers, many of whom are no longer alive, without their permission is psychotic.
You would think, this was a sub / plot to some great book already written… oh wait.. it actually is

yup it makes 0 sense. why would people assume the authors would want their works to change

I think it's more in the sense of changing all the pronouns to they/them for example
Yeah f*** that dumb ass s***.

You’d have to be a f***ing moron to want that.
Not only do we have to consume fascistic propaganda until death , but just even the slightest incanation of being uncomfortable with that will have you attacked by the institutions stalwarts like Tom hanks . So bleak

Random, but do you remember operation KKK? Where anon users compiled info on all current (or contemporary 2013) KKK members? Well, a week before the actual list was published, a fake KKK document leaked ahead of time to discredit the efforts put fourth by anon.
I almost guarantee the same thing happened with Tom Hanks, people say he was on Epstein's flight, yet wasn't on any of the actual flight logs/the Greek citizenship theory is...a reach it seems like.
Idk why, but people kinda have been attacking him for that with no solid foundation and I just think it's weird/kinda s***ty when there's actual people to press about it (i.e why TF was Chris Tucker on the flights??)
I agree with this. I think it's important to reflect the true intention of the author, even if their opinions are not something we agree with. If the original intention is lost in translation, how can we learn from our past?
Could you imagine if a party in power whose views didn't align with the Civil Rights movement, for example, tried to doctor Alex Haley or James Baldwin's works to more closely align with their viewpoints?
