Rise of the Tomb Raider still has the best game trailer I’ve seen, and it would be really cool for the series to touch on the themes in it, turning kinda serious like the reboot trilogy, but still keeping the crazy fantastical adventure aspect:

I say keep Camilla Luddington as Lara. Like she’s the definitive version of the character for me and the new games basically feel like an interactive movie with realistic looking characters

i want the series to end and for hollywood to stop butchering every established ip by milking it for every dollar they can

I still have hope because this series can be translated into film easily, but they always f*** it up. Maybe because the stories are so long and require a 10 hour game to tell and they condense that s*** down to like 90 minutes

ngl the Angelina Jolie movies are still fun as hell and a good watch while stoned

I just don’t think you can portray Lara as a silly action character after the reboot trilogy turned her into a non-sexualized depressed character. it’s just setting a movie up for failure if they go back to early Lara

give it to universal. have a decently sized director attach to it and give them the material for all the games/success of the first 2 movies and a decent chunk of creative control.

they should DEF. mix the latest direction of the games and the allure and sexiness of the first few games.

they just gotta get some good screen writers who know how to NOT make it like james bond/uncharted but with a woman!

Nah I disagree because people didn't really rock with those the same as Angie's.

Especially in this era where everything gets a super dark reboot I think doing a fun insane action film Fast and Furious style would work.

Audiences have kinda turned away from the super serious s*** for awhile now I high-key think that's why that new Pattinson film kinda stalled at the box office.

Tomb Raider needs a James Wan style director for it someone who can handle all types of tones and do big films maybe even him.

He's my pick for a Bond reboot aswell and for damn near anything

also, Peter Jackson doing a Tomb Raider movie is a great fantasy to think about. It would probably never happen but it’s cool to think about him doing another high adventure movie after King Kong and Tin Tin, which I think are perfect adventure movies

I’d like an older Laura Croft that balances the serious tone of the reboots with the campy quality of the old games and original movies. I think Haylee Atwell would be cool. She’s apparently already playing her in some Netflix anime series. Get a director like Chad Stahelski and have some fun with it. You can make Laura both sexy and badass. Make it like a 80’s exploitation action movie throwback or something. You could do anything. We don’t need any more bland safe streaming junk.

Tomb Raider and Uncharted games are basically riffs on Indiana Jones. Why make them into films, when the OG already exists?

Unless you can do something really unique with either franchise, just don't even bother touching them.

Peter prolly woulda done an amazing Indiana Jones movie back in his prime he's one of those guys I wish hadn't got so wrapped up in one franchise

I mean Indiana Jones is a riff off franchises from Scrouge Mcduck(Jones most iconic scene is stolen from him) to Alan Quartmaine but that didn't stop them from making him.

An idea doesn't need to be totally original to have value and everything is a riff of something.
