This song did good for what it was. It's not one of his best songs, nor will it really be one of the most memorable. It was something to keep people entertained during quarantine.

The real anthems that will be replayed over and over on radio will come.

Especially with how weak the charts are right now. A better single than Toosie Slide is debuting at #1 easily. I've always seen Toosie Slide as a placeholder. Something to just put out there. Album era still hasn't started yet.
