There's tons of IMAX footage (pretty much every single jet sequence) so I'd go for that

Dolby (especially atmos) should be enough though. The sound design is absolutely amazing whole theater was vibrating every single time jet engines were starting

First half of the original is kinda weird but it really catches itself in the second, there's a turning point where it gets really emotional. I'd say try again, because it's sorta necessary to know what happens in the first (though this one is still a lot of fun if you don't)
