RIP Houdini, RIP Smoke Dawg. Been thinking a lot about the old days. When Mo G was still in the city, when SAFE used to chill outside more. Was a different vibe then. Now it’s just.. tragic? Like s***s not popping anymore.
Maybe I feel like that cuz Houdini got killed, or we’re in the middle of f***ing quarantine, but idk man. Anyways, here’s one of my all time favs

Bro I'll be honest I rate a good 80% of Toronto artists rn but I swear theres a good chunk that get hype before they're even listenable. Proof is in the pudding, longevity is so rare in the scene. Rappers get one hit and then dwindle down to nothing. Idk if thats lack of consistency or just proof that most of this s*** is purely driven by cultural hype rather than good music.
