Huh? The main problem with Canada is not crime??? We're one of the best first world countries with that, the only thing Pierre is supporting that suggests that is his border control plan against the US, but liberals will oblige, anyway. Trudeau and premiers like Ford just need to be pressured more to allocate funds more regarding that.

Our main problems are the housing market, wages, the job market, and global profiteering from our housing/job markets. Healthcare strain, immigration policies, job security, economic growth, and inflation. We're literally a recession but it's just everlasting. Pierre is focusing on anti-immigration & his neo-populist ideals for "helping" the job market even though what he plans/has done contradicts what he's pushing for..... We're like so f***ed LOL

    • Pierre Poilievre has a history of voting against individual rights and freedoms, raising concerns about his commitment to democratic values.
    • Notable for pushing the "Fair Elections Act," which was deemed unconstitutional for restricting Canadians' voting rights.
    • Made dismissive remarks about Indigenous rights, suggesting Indigenous communities "just need to learn the value of hard work."
    • Opposed providing support to Canadians during crises, showing a lack of empathy and prioritizing austerity over assistance.
    • Only MP required to sign ethics agreements during elections, highlighting his disregard for transparency and ethical standards.

Pierre won't be any better but I'm legit undecided between NDP and liberal. Trudeau NEEDS to fix up though. I'm legit sick of him for similar reasons.

    Yeah, still voting for Pierre.

Dont like seeing crackheads on the streets and ndp/libs opening up facilities for that

If they cared about crime and locking these idiots up I’d vote for them (thats my biggest concern)

Housing market and wages is destroyed because of trudeu. Actually, I dont see housing market ever getting fixed because Canada’s economy is built on that, but wages and jobs its all him.

Bringing in 40 yr olds as intl students to fake diploma mills isnt helping anyone, and then subsidizing wages

The housing market was in decline long before Trudeau. Are you even sure what you're saying? This stems from a lack of social housing stemming the 1990s, which all came crashing down during Harper's tenure.

The current housing crisis is primarily the result of low interest rates, which have enticed an influx of buyers into the market. Politicians also contributed by making overseas trips to attract foreign investors and promoting newly constructed low-cost housing with low monthly payments. This resulted in an unexpected influx of buyers competing for the limited housing supply, many of whom were motivated by the fear of missing out on a good deal. As a result, demand increased significantly, but there was insufficient supply to meet it. A large amount of equity in existing properties exacerbated the situation, with local governments prohibiting the construction of new housing, resulting in artificial scarcity and rising costs.

Adding to the problem, municipal zoning laws and discretionary approvals have slowed new housing construction, making it difficult, expensive, or time-consuming to build new supply at feasible densities in cities. The situation deteriorated following the COVID-19 pandemic, with a surge in non-permanent resident (NPR) populations caused by colleges increasing international student admissions without considering the impact on local infrastructure. Subsequently, he rapid increase in interest rates to combat post-pandemic inflation, combined with rising construction costs, has made it more expensive to build new housing. The crisis has been exacerbated by a lack of federal funding for social housing since the 1990s austerity cuts, as well as insufficient private-sector rental construction.

This is the result of greed and capitalism. Liberals will not help us, and neither will conservatives. They'll just exacerbate the problem. I'm actually thinking about moving back to the United States because things will only get worse. Might as well live poor rather than live poor and more miserable.
