i download the content with sonarr & radarr (using jacket/delgue/sabnzbd)

i have a docker container i setup with a network connection that only works through an openvpn tunnel that's always running

then i just have it all go into drives plex scans

if you got time help me out!

I want to unsubscribe to my streaming services, figured that having one seedbox subscription would be cheaper than a couple streaming subscriptions

    1) I just want to use Plex or Jellyfin to stream on my chromecast with google tv, is a seedbox subscription all I need?

    2) Can I install the automated stuff like sonarr and radarr on a seedbox so I don’t have to manually download the torrent in my seedbox?

    3) Do you have a seedbox recommendation for my needs?

If you don’t have time, a link to a source where I could educate myself would be amazing

I have access to a private tracker

I have access to a private tracker

i have a server i built from an 8th gen intel machine, it just has that CPU with a bunch of hard drives

    i use unraid & docker

i've never used a seedbox before, i use a vpn + docker locally on the same machine i run plex off of

a seedbox is just a private server though i don't see why you couldn't install sonarr + radarr + plex on it

i don't have any recommendations for seed boxes but you should look for one with fast speeds & a lot bandwidth (term used for data cap with data centers) maybe read some reddit threads about ones people have used

why do you want to use a seedbox? an old dell workstation at home with a few hard drives would work pretty well and if you have slow internet it will still be super fast if you use it on the same network since it's local if that makes sense

  • Oct 12, 2023

    ebay.com/itm/374966756065?

you want 8th gen or newer since that has Intel Quicksync with full HDR H265/H254 codec

any 8th gen i series Intel chip can do 4 4k HDR Streams at once probably plenty for most people

If you’re brain dead on how to set a server up I can hook you up with an Emby server that has 4PB of data. Basically all shows and movies you can think of. Multiple formats (1080, 4k remux’s with Dolby vision / HDR).

    $45 every 6 months

But otherwise just get a server like he recommended with quick sync. Set up sonar and radar then hook up drives to it and it’s pretty much automatic just tell it what you want

yeah I think a seedbox will just make life more convenient tbh, don't want to build a server/machine

think it's just faster to pay for the seedbox & start running

might be a brain dead take not sure

definitely won’t be cheaper but i totally understand, i get that if you don’t want to install all the software it can be complex if you don’t know some basic stuff about servers

Does anyone have any helpful tips for finding text books that may be somewhat niche and/or new?

I am getting very frustrated when LG and the few other well known places aren't getting me what im looking for or give me single chapters

    Noooo I am gutted.
Haven't checked the site yet but have we been given a reason?

These trackers operating in eastern Europe (RARBG was Bulgarian etc.) are getting shut down one by one, i guess their countries are tightening the grip on piracy and it's effecting them

rarbg didn’t shut down due to LE pressure, it was mostly because they had internal issues with their staff due to the Ukraine war

my point was more that with the increased pressure we should expect trackers based in eastern europe to change, in one way or another.

as you mentioned, the conflict in ukraine was one of the factors, but not definitive. do you have insider info? because you expressed that conclusively and their own message states like 3 reasons.

    torrentfreak.com/rarbg-shut-down-in-the-middle-of-a-bulgarian-piracy-crackdown-230906

there is no mention of the new laws in place in bulgaria in their shutdown message, but the overlap in timing tells me a lot.

ultimately it seemed to be a time-consumption think for the owner of filelist, and a lack of suitable successors

    what a shame
