That s*** seem borderline racist too
It's a joke mostly black people make so imma assume he's black
t pain ain’t the only guy who gets disrespected like this in the industry, pretty sure most of our fav artists been through way worse, t pain is the only one telling us about it
I’m pretty sure nearly every artist has gotten a ton of s*** from music execs, producers, fellow artists, etc
You gotta have some insane faith in yourself to prosper
Mmmmmm idk if TI should be that low tho cuz 2006 - 2007 before he got locked up his singles run was crazy while Wayne was doing the features and mixtapes. Then he got knocked and Wayne was undoubtedly the biggest rapper at the time, but his come back run was crazy.
I would legit hear Live Ya Life and Whatever U Like 5 times a day lol
Nah no disrespect to TI at all in my post. When Paper Trail dropped he was inescapable. I think if anything it was just by pure volume that T Pain would rank higher to me. You couldn’t name an artist who wasn’t trying to get a feature from him at the time it was honestly kind of wild. Couldn’t imagine if we really got that OG T Wayne tape

Tbh though, Sexyback was by far the least safe song on FSLS too. Suit and tie was def safe but I’d actually say 20/20 Exp overall was a less safe project than FSLS with how dynamic and ambitious a lot of those songs were.
Word? I felt like the 20/20 experience had some good r&b songs but FS/LS he had songs like Sexy Ladies where he was going for that Prince style. A lot of those songs reminded me of that era of pop actualky
Nah nigga was just mad another nigga was on the charts. That autotune argument is bullshit. Celebrities are cry baby children & dont want to see another person get attention & spotlight

That s*** would’ve done numbers too cuz that was supposed to be an 09 release right?
Usher gave us the white cancer known as Justin Bieber

P4k says it’s been a thing since 09 so yeah that s*** would’ve been madness

Yeah sexy ladies, until the end of time and the title track esp had a heavy prince vibe
But I think sexyback was like really the big track that felt JT was doing something wholly new and never seen before. Not only a total transformation for him, but it was something we just never had seen before in pop.
20/20 exp did have spaceship coupe and That Girl but yeah he was more ambitious in the genres he was tackling on that
To be fair it wasn't good impact in alot of ways It's like Michael Bay set the standard for the modern blockbuster but alot of folks won't give him credit cause it isnt good influence.
T Pain and Soulja Boi were our MC Hammer and Vanilla Ice so I see why they got treated how they did.
whether you think its good or bad musically, which is something that's ultimately an opinion, the facts are that lots of successful artists even up to today came up using their blueprints. I'm sure the Soulja Boy online strategy has made millions of dollars in the music industry.
T Pain come out every year with a new story about being depressed
There’s basically a song on every album about depression and his debut album inspired 808’s and heartbreaks
tpain's music aged wonderfully
This blew my mind the other day

Aged like a fine Port

It has and I enjoyed the music it was fun I'm just saying from other people perspectives.
The Transformers method of building a franchise has made billions but ya know
