So they should start testing testosterone and estrogen levels for high schoolers?

You’re being disingenuous.
Trans women are women we aren’t denying that. But that doesn’t change that they were born and developed throughout their life with a male body.
That leads to them having an unfair advantage (or disadvantage if you’re talking about trans men) to cis gendered athletes.
Nobody thinks everyone has to be equal when it comes to athletic capabilities but most trans women even after HRT are better equipped athletically than cis women.
