Yeah that's what I am thinking too, cause it's his melodic s*** that become hits, thing is he somehow always dumb himself down, to the point it all sounds lazy

And facts man, Green and Purple and A-Man were actually my fav from that care package, was shocked that BE became such a damn hit

And Stargazing was so hype too

I don't think Astro was necessarily bad or something, just didn't have as much highs and not as much memorable moments/fts

There's dope s*** there but idk it doesn't stick like the s*** on Rodeo/DBR

still a few great joints on there, for example I find Coffee Bean extremely underrated

yeah astro is a good album but by the standards trav set you’re expecting music that’s otherworldly almost like not allowed to exist type s***. think about when he used to hop on a feature he made company his song, no feelings, kelly price, he made those guys sound like features on their own songs. stuff like astrothunder, houstonfornication, and coffee bean are amazing but we needed more of that

Exactly man he had a sound, a very distinct universe of his own he could create, really immersive s***

Like that's what I mean u could just guess how he Gon sound on a ft last few yrs
While in da past, he would shift da emotion and vibe of a song so great

I mean take Thug and Trav, compare Lit and Diamonds Dancing with their prime s*** together

He used to take more time and really hone da sonic fabrics to detail
