What does it say that our previous big 3 has little to no influence on our proclaimed new big 3?

I’m not making any statement just interesting to note. This wasn’t the case transitioning from 2000s to 2010s

Kanye & wayne were big 2

I feel like the 2000s had an early 2000s big 3 and a late 2000s big 3 and Ye was in the late 2000s big 3 alongside Wayne

His last 3 albums have (4 if we're counting his new project that just dropped)

I get more Kevin gates from him too but he has interpolated Drake songs a couple of times and has said that’s one of his favorite artists

Eh.....it's tricky because neither of them have traditional rapping styles even though they make some good music.

Rod Wave is a straight up crooner who barely even actually raps. Travis and Carti rap more than him but they're more so bigger in the melody and adlib department and no one checks for their lyrics or bars like that.

As much as niggas like to clown Lil Baby, he at least can actually spit when he wants to and body features.

None of this "Big 3" offers anything to fans of traditional rap which makes it pretty hard to accept them as ringleaders.

But hey....I'm just a "dusty" 28 year old saying this. The kids gonna have to deal with this new norm in the mainstream.

The Drake, Kendrick, and Cole breeds that can actually rap are dying. And if they're not, they're definitely not making it to the mainstream anymore.

Rod Wave organically just happened but the previous big 3 cant influence this one because niggas just stopped wanting to have “nice” verses
