After finding out it wasn’t real as a kid, I immediately dropped it and moved onto MMA.
For any adults who know it isn’t real and still tune in and talk about it, do you guys treat it more like a soap opera? Like when it’s grown men live-tweeting about it n s***, are yall tapped into it like as if you were watching a new episode of a popular tv show?
you’ll get to a point and find out all of this s*** is entertainment, MMA included
professional wrestling just embraced the entertainment part more than other sports and fully leaned in on creating stories. the storylines, in my opinion, make it more watchable rather than an average MMA match
to answer your question, yes, its basically soap operas for us

I am at a point right now where I know all of it is entertainment
I was just curious whether or not the viewers were actually watching and rooting on as passionately as MMA, Soccer, NFL, fans etc. would despite knowing that its just dramatic performance art

If it's one thing I give wrestling over other shows is that fans are really invested in the characters more than usual.
There's real beauty in the way storylines are written and what the characters can bring to the table especially when you know it's a live performance
There's a ton of work that goes into it
