Get a pair of these and cut the cord and the big tips attached to them so they can fit in your ears when you sleep on your side but not too much so you can remove them in the morning

    Natural noise cancelling

I used to live next to a main highway, next to the airport, construction always happening. Because of those times, I can't sleep in complete silence anymore. I always need some type of noise.

Maybe a white noise machine that masks the outside noise

Also chamomile tea, blue light glasses (orange lens only), meditation before bed, etc

The best thing you can do to fall asleep is not worry about falling asleep. Do something tedious to keep yourself awake and eventually you'll crash.

The second best thing you can do is get earplugs.

This advice becomes pretty useless after a week of 4 hrs sleeps
At the some point youre training your body to be very alert when trying to go to sleep ( i also have a lot of noise pollution).
The only thing that can fix that is a couple nights of natural good sleep

I mean I've been living on 4-5 hours of sleep for the past two years with my "good, natural sleep" coming on weekends, so I guess you're right

I have terrible sleep anxiety and hearing all these suggestions about complex sleep rituals puts me on edge. I tried all of them if they ever stopped working, I was twice as f***ed as I was when I started.
