  • Jun 17, 2020

Stop spouting this stupid ass narrative. It will never happen. Our system is designed to favor two parties.

Im tired of this young people narrative

A wide breath of gen z turned 18 2014-2020 (96-02) our generation is only still forming. 2016 isn’t a good barometer bcus again only a sliver of us could even vote but now majority of us are 18

It’s anecdotal but a huugee ass portion of my friends were planning to vote this fall. Political and apolitical, this s*** is still somewhat new so the dynamics of a primary wasn’t smth we fully understand mechanics of yet but everyone knows the general and a s*** ton of my friends (atleast 50%) were planning on voting

Before covid hit and biden become the nom atleast

Barely any gen z could vote in 2016. Likely less than 10%. You had to be born in Oct 1998 or earlier to vote. 2020 and it's 2002. We won't see where Gen Z really stands until after 2024, and even then it'll still be about halfway through.

But I agree, the young people narrative is annoying. It's mainly older people not voting saying "If it's two bad candidates, one bad, one worse, I vote for neither." Dafuq?! Exercise your right to vote.

Thats not quite correct on older people not voting.

That's good. There were a few older people in my circle who said they weren't gonna vote for the 2016 election cuz of the reason I said above. I was furious cuz we had ancestors die for our right to vote, but I can't stop someone for doing or not doing something, especially my elders.

Biden still way more liked than Hillary

Biden can hide out..don't campaign..and still have a good shot at beating Trump.

    OUT OF ORDER

If it didn’t happen in 2016 it’s not happening now unfortunately

I’ll still be voting third party though since I live in California and the electoral votes are going to Biden anyway

Glad to know Kanye has your vote :)

Still haven’t really decided between which independent/third party candidate I’m voting for tbh, if it isn’t Kanye it’ll probably be for the Green Party candidate

Definitely isn’t trump or Biden tho
